Leads a Houston-Area Community Health Care Provider
In 1999, Rodney Goodie established the St. Hope Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit community health care organization with offices in multiple locations throughout the Houston, Texas metropolitan area. As CEO, he heads the senior leadership team, plans overall strategy, and oversees functions ranging from financial management to public relations. Rodney Goodie brings to his role extensive experience in policy development and implementation and grant writing for medical and social services. Under his direction, the St. Hope Foundation has been recognized in the Houston Chronicle’s Top Workplaces list for the last three consecutive years.
Over the course of his career, Rodney Goodie has advised several community-based organizations on maintaining policies and operations compliant with laws and regulatory standards established by local, state, and federal authorities. He previously spent one year as executive director of the Donald R. Watkins Memorial Foundation, Inc. Prior to forming the St. Hope Foundation, Mr. Goodie worked as a senior quality analyst and senior project coordinator for the HIV Services Division of Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services.
A University of Houston alumnus in sociology, Rodney Goodie more recently earned an MBA with an emphasis in health care from Texas Tech University. He belongs to Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and serves on the board of the University of Houston Cougar Athletic Alliance. In his free time, he enjoys following the major golf championships and has attended the Masters Tournament on several occasions.
